Nühn Records is studying Codex Empire

Since 2014, Codex Empire has built an international reputation for dark and intense techno productions and live shows. Combining this background in dark electronic music with heavy rhythmic elements makes Codex Empire an intense and simultaneously danceable experience both live and on record.

side-project antechamber is an outlet for less dancefloor orientated, dark, intense rhythmic music.

Selected Ambient Works 85–92

Selected Ambient Works 85–92 is the debut studio album by Aphex Twin, the pseudonym of the British electronic music producer and DJ Richard D. James. It was released on 9 November 1992 through Apollo Records, a subsidiary of the Belgian label R&S Records. The album consists of ambient techno tracks recorded onto cassette reputedly dating as far back as 1985, when James was 13 to 14 years old. On release it received widespread acclaim and entered the UK Dance Albums Chart at No. 6 in December 1992.

In 2012 Fact magazine named Selected Ambient Works 85‍–‍92 the greatest album of the 1990s. It re-entered the dance chart just after the release of Aphex Twin's 2014 album, Syro. James followed up the album in 1994 with Selected Ambient Works Volume II.

Madvillain

Madvillain was an American hip hop supergroup formed in 2002, consisting of rapper MF DOOM and producer Madlib. Their only album, Madvillainy (2004), earned critical acclaim and cult popularity, widely regarded as one of the greatest rap albums of all time and a benchmark record for alternative hip hop. Their intricate rhymes and lyrics, short song structures and use of obscure, stylistically diverse samples made for a sound that was generally unfriendly to commercial radio but was lauded for its influence on underground rap. A follow-up album to Madvillainy was rumored to be in production at various times since the late 2000s, but no further original material has surfaced from the duo since 2010, and MF DOOM's death in 2020 has left the future of the project uncertain.

Pioneer on electronic music

Conrad "ConnySchnitzler (1937 – 4 August 2011) was a prolific German experimental musician associated with West Germany's 1970s krautrock movement. He left Kluster in 1971, first working with his group Eruption and then focusing on solo works. Schnitzler participated in several collaborations with other electronic musicians.

Sean Patrick Faling "Monday Surgeons recording"

Sean words explaining the process into Track A-2340

"I’ve recorded more material with my Teac A-2340 4 track reel to reel, than almost anything else. I think my Tascam 424 MKII might have it beat, but not for sound quality. The recordings I’ve made with the 2340 sound better when replayed than they did when I recorded them. I’ve noticed a few times during recording that the VU meters were pegged or red lined and the recordings came out fine with no clipping or distortion!"

Rephlex Records 1991

Rephlex Records was a record label launched in 1991 in Cornwall by electronic musician Richard D. James (aka Aphex Twin) and Grant Wilson-Claridge. The label coined the term braindance to describe the output of Aphex Twin and fellow artists.

In 1989, Grant Wilson-Claridge met Richard D. James (a.k.a. Aphex Twin) DJing at The Bowgie, a club located just along the coast from Newquay, Cornwall. According to Wilson-Claridge, back in 1989, "the Bowgie was the best club ever...this was before Newquay turned into the Cornish Ibiza" and it was very difficult to hear new and interesting music. Wilson-Claridge and James used to DJ on alternate weeks. When he noticed that James was playing his own tapes rather than records, Wilson-Claridge suggested that they press up some records. In the beginning, committing Aphex Twin recordings to vinyl was a way of making music the duo's friends wanted to hear. Due to their geographical dis-location they did not have access to the music they wanted to hear and so they decided to create their own, and Rephlex as a label was born. Although the label was founded in 1991 in Cornwall, it moved the year after to London.

Jan Jelinek album

A new Jan Jelinek album on the way, turning text-to-speech recitals of scam emails into fizzing sound poetry in the same vein as Sam Kidel's iconic 'Disruptive Muzak' or Nozomu Matsumoto's cultural dystopias

A timeless artist

For me Olivier is a very most structural artist than could be a randome drumer, it's all about the modernism he execute in the sequention of production. is like a minded, promoved by two sides we could say, one is the first time the action enters in its scene building sonoring models, and another is the time as relative, how the space of that time is a real timless idealist, this is Olivier Lasson_

Lasson's cover

Will be this the cover art for Lasson's album_ We thought it's important to express as modern art our travel in this adventure exposing it as it is ART. In may we will have out his work

Olivier Lasson soon on No Records

After fifteen years as a professional drummer, sound artist Olivier Lasson turned to beat making in 2009 (including collaborations with Pascal Danae or Rodolphe Burger). In 2013, he created the soundtrack for the play ‘Rituel pour une Métamorphose’ at La Comédie Française (with Yasmine Hamdan), which led him to field recording and musique concrète. From across the soundscape, Olivier perceives sounds as infinite instrumental possibilities that he captures and transforms. He collaborates on exhibitions with artists’ collectives (Mu, NNIPA) and fashion houses (Hermès). He produces live electroacoustic and improvised solo and duo performances (with Reeve Schumacher, Julie Rousse, Duncan Pinhhas), and has collaborated with Le Collectif 13 and Sport National.
